Counting the days
It took me a little while to figure out how to get back in here to make a new post! It has been almost two years! WOW. I never would have thought that it would have taken so long to return to Cameroon and I never would have thought that I would be doing it alone out of our original group of six. Yes, you read that correctly. Philip is not going to be able to meet up with me in Cameroon. Unfortunetly, he was traveling on business in India, did all he could to get his visa for Cameroon, but due to increased turn around time, he was unable to get the visa in time. However, as always, God is faithful. Instead of meeting up with the group in Cameroon, he will be traveling to Kenya on Saturday to minister alongside dear MK friends, Kevin and Robin McGee. He is still taking a mission trip, just to a different location! :) So, please pray for him as he explores this new opportunity for ministry. I am coming to realize that our mission does not have to be one location in Africa. It is really where God needs us to go and where our strengths can best be used to serve. For me, I need to be in Santa working with the children with special needs. For Philip, he will get to use his marketing and development planning skills to help with a local project in Kenya. Our prayer has always been to keep our hearts open to His call and our will humble to follow. Although I am sad that I will not be with Philip, I am so excited to see and hear what God is going to use him for in Kenya. Luckily for you, you will get twice the pictures and reports when you check the blog! Thank you again for your prayers and support!
