Almost Over, But Not Quite

Praise God! We have finished our VBS. From our standpoint the VBS was chaotic and exhausting (but a great blessing). From their standpoint they thought it was a well polished VBS - if they only saw the chaos in our guest house until 1 am each morning. We are so happy that we were able to carry off this massive task ending with 339 kids on the last day. Again, Praise God!

Now for the continuing saga of this team's travel travails...

We found out yesterday that 3 of us (Amy, Colin, and Philip) had our flights canceled and the rest were booked through to Charlotte. So what that means is that Sue, Susanne, and Tom are heading to Doula right now for their flights and the rest of us will be leaving on Tuesday. I guess this is one more score for WAWA.

It is very hard for us to part paths with our team and to see them off on the potentially perilous journey. Please pray diligently for their safety and comfort. Please pray that their trip will be uneventful and easy. Please also pray for those of us staying behind and for our families that are wishing we were coming home.

This story of how God has worked through us on this trip is not yet over. We will keep you posted as we progress.
